BENJAMIN A. RUBIO

Benjamin A. (Ben) Rubio, Major, USAF (retired) serves as representative to the Defense Medical Logistics Proponent Committee (DMLPC) Joint Integrated Process Team (JIPT) and is a staff Logistics Management Specialist in the Joint Initiatives Branch, Air Force Medical Logistics Division, Office of the Surgeon General.   The DMLPC JIPT develops business and systems strategies and processes for all medical logistics activities for the Department of Defense.  Mr. Rubio manages Air Force functional input and develops sustainment policy and procedures for the Air Force Medical Logistics. He provides key Air Force guidance for the development and sustainment of world wide medical logistics activities to include war readiness programs, systems administration, inventory management, equipment maintenance and technology management, maintenance and control programs, services contracting, and facilities maintenance and management operations.  Mr. Rubio was commissioned as a second lieutenant 9 November 1987.  He retired from active on 1 February 2008 and is has been employed by the Air force as a civilian since April 2009.  He has served positions at base, major command, and HQ USAF levels in a variety of healthcare management  and command positions, with specialization in Medical Logistics. He is a Certified Materiel and Resources Professional and Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager by American Hospital Association and is Certified by the American Academy of Medical Administrators.
